Venue guide: The Glee Club, Birmingham

Birmingham’s Glee Club is situated within The Arcadian in the city centre and is acclaimed by comedians, musicians and punters alike for the live show experience the venue boasts.

With a capacity of up to 600 (when standing), the Glee Club has homed artists from all walks of the industry, including Brand New, Lianne La Havas, Villagers and Boy George.

Venue information

Bar snacks and food is available both before and during shows, with a waiter service on hand to bring food and drink to your table (for seated shows only). Food can be purchased from the on-site café prior to any standing events and offers a variety of snacks and traditional bar bites. Disabled Facilities include lift access, toilet facilities and a ‘carer-goes-free’ policy. Please call 0871 472 0400 for further information. There is no cloakroom in the venue.

Getting to The Glee Club


By car

When driving into Birmingham city centre, follow signs for the Hippodrome or Arcadian.

Parking

The nearest car parks are the Arcadian Centre, Ladywell Walk and Pershore Street. Arcadian Centre car park offers a flat evening rate (5pm-11.30pm) of £5.00. Ladywell Walk also offers a flat evening rate of £3.80 but for a shorter period of time, 6pm-10pm.

By public transport

The Glee Club is about a five minute walk from Birmingham New Street station and about a ten minute walk from Birmingham Moor Street station. The number 16 and 24 buses circle the city centre and are the best bet to be dropped off nearest to the venue. The 16 can be picked up from Corporation St, and the 24 from Colmore Row.
Other buses that can be caught include the 2, 3, 35, 45 and 47, which can all be caught from Corporation St.
